I’m happy to announce that my work “Fractured Love” has been selected for Layers: Exploring Depth in Contemporary Art, a juried exhibition presented by SFVACC (San Fernando Valley Arts & Cultural Center). The show was juried by Kimie Joe, owner of Gallery of Hermosa.
Layers examines how artists use layering—both literally and conceptually—to create depth and meaning in their work. The exhibition considers physical techniques like collage, glazing, assemblage, and digital compositing, as well as thematic layers of memory, history, identity, and time. It’s an exploration of how depth, transparency, repetition, and material buildup shape what we see and understand in a piece.
“Fractured Love” engages with these ideas through its structure and subject matter, exploring how layers can both conceal and reveal what lies beneath.
The exhibition runs June 17 through July 10, 2026, with simultaneous in-person and virtual presentations. The physical exhibition will be at TAG Gallery in Los Angeles (5458 Wilshire Blvd), while the virtual gallery goes live June 17 at sfvacc.org.
